{"title":"NSWGR S-Truck Shunters Float","description":"\u003cp\u003eIn the early part of the twentieth century, about 8000 all-steel open wagons coded ‘S’, were produced.\u003cbr\u003eThey lived a hard life and after World War 2 they were ‘rebuilt’, which involved complete new composite wood and steel bodies on completely new welded underframes.\u003cbr\u003eThe new S wagons produced in this post-war version, of which there were ultimately more than 10000 in traffic, reached every corner of the NSWGR system, from 1944 until the last train of four-wheelers ran in 1983.\u003cbr\u003eThey carried all sorts of loads – machinery, sacks, drums, barrels, coiled steel rod, tractors … both uncovered and sheeted with tarpaulins.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eNo NSWGR post-war model railway is complete without a good helping of S wagons.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e","products":[],"url":"https:\/\/sdsmodelsonline.com.au\/collections\/nswgr-s-truck-shunters-float.oembed","provider":"SDSModels","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
