Australian National DL class diesel-electric locomotives, built for freight and passenger services in the late 1980s and early 1990s before being transferred to National Rail and later Pacific National.

Purpose: Used for standard gauge freight and passenger traffic on interstate lines. 
History: All 15 locomotives were built by Clyde Engineering between 1988 and 1990. 
Transition: The entire class was transferred to National Rail in 1995, and later to Pacific National. 
Operational History: They were used on various freight services, including intercapital and bulk (e.g., blue metal, grain) traffic, and occasionally on passenger trains like the Indian Pacific.
